An enjoyable walk on a quiet morning. I hear the calls of the chukars as they sweep through the hillsides, and I am welcomed by the call of a canyon wren as I head up the trail. As I look down onto canyon, I see layers of blues, pinks, browns and greens, like a colorful multi-tiered cake crumbling, transforming, and succumbing to the forces of the arid climate. This is The Overlook.
