Steens To The Alvord

Steens To The Alvord

At the top of the peak, 9,700 feet above see level. Below, a flat expanse of dried earth where there was once a lake. Burnt sienna, yellow ochre, and quinacridone purple wash over the landscape. This is the driest spot in Oregon. This is a view of the Steens to the Alvord.
